AuthenTec, Inc. Returns & Refunds
Please review these policies carefully as they are terms of sale that govern your purchase(s) at the AuthenTec, Inc. ("AuthenTec") WebStore. They set out rights and obligations with respect to your purchases, including important limitations and exclusions. Your placement of an order at the AuthenTec WebStore constitutes your agreement that these policies apply to the order, so be certain you understand them before you place your order. The AuthenTec WebStore 15-day Satisfaction Guarantee: 15-Day full product refund on all AuthenTec items that you are not satisfied with (this does not include international orders as well as shipping, handling, and transactions fees).
For eligible product(s), the return or exchange of merchandise must be initiated within 15 calendar days (from order ship date) in like-new, re-sellable, original factory condition. This includes all packaging materials, inserts, manuals, warranty cards (not filled out), and accessories. If the item is returnable and you send it back to us unopened in the original box, AuthenTec will offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. Refunds or exchanges not meeting these conditions or for which a return is initiated after the 15-day period; are subject to AuthenTec WebStore final approval and WILL BE assessed a 20% re-stocking fee. Please do not tape or write anything on the item or retail packaging. AuthenTec Inc. reserves the right to refuse any non-compliant returns.
Please note: All orders with "Free Shipping"; the actual shipping cost of the item(s) will not be refunded or credited.
All Refunds/Exchanges must have a Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA") number issued by AuthenTec, Inc. Please complete the form below to initiate a refund. AuthenTec will provide an RMA number and specific return instructions. Orders returned without an RMA number will be refused. Please note that having an RMA number does not guarantee final disposition. All returns are subject to inspection. When you receive your RMA number from us, it will include the proper address to send the product. RETURN PROCEDURES: Pack the product(s), together with you proof of purchase, into a shipping box or package with plenty of packing material, and tape securely. It is very important to write your RMA number on the outside of the package you are returning. We identify packages with the RMA number, and if your RMA number is not visible on the outside of the package we may refuse your package (and return). We suggest that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns and either insure your package for safe return to AuthenTec or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you choose not to use a carrier that offers tracking or insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping. AuthenTec does not pay and/or reimburse shipping and handling fees associated with returned orders. Nor can we accept COD or freight-collect shipments. You must return the product to AuthenTec within 14 calendar days of the issuance of the RMA. All product(s) must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, manuals, documentation, and registration that shipped with the product.
UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES: If our carrier returns a package to AuthenTec as undeliverable to you, a refund will be issued less shipping cost. Reshipments with identical shipping information are not processed.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Items shipped out of the USA will void any warranty as AuthenTec WebStore warranties are valid in the USA only. We will not handle the warranty on behalf of out-of-country customers. Return shipping and re-shipping costs for international orders are paid by the customer for defective and replacement product(s). Defective replacements requests must be made WITHIN 15 DAYS OF ORDER, not when you receive the product. There are absolutely no refunds on international shipping charges.
On international sales, all cost for shipping, tariffs, duties, taxes, brokerage fees or any other cost that are specific to international sales are to be assumed and handled by the purchaser (customer). Brokerage fees, import tariffs, customs duties, customs clearance fees and value added taxes, as well as other local taxes, may apply to international orders and may be assessed by customs authorities at the time of delivery. AuthenTec does not calculate these fees at the time of order, and they are the sole responsibility of the purchaser (customer). Please inquire with local customs authorities for more information regarding applicable fees. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser on all returned orders.
Please note that AuthenTec does not permit the return of, or offer refunds for, opened software or electronic software downloads. You may return software after rejecting the licensing terms, provided the software is not installed on a computer. However, software that contains a printed software license may not be returned if the seal or sticker on the software media packaging is broken.
AuthenTec reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of sale at the AuthenTec WebStore at any time. To the extent permitted by law, all sales at the AuthenTec WebStore are governed by Florida law, without giving effect to its conflict of law provisions.
